Florence

Journal Entry: Wed May 14, 2008, 12:42 AM
I had a great time in Florence.
The city was beautiful and the weather was great.
I saw many things; we went to the Uffizi, Academia, Palazo Pitti, the Boboli Gardens, the cathedral, the museum of archaeology and many more.
There were some great pieces of art there, like the David by Michelangelo and the birth of Venus by Botticelli.
Most of the time we just walked around and went to see musea and stuff like that. One day we decided to take a bus tour. We went to the stop closest to us, but it was a busy day and we couldn't get in the first one, because a pushy large group went in first. The second was also full, but when the bus drove away, my father was standing a bit awkward, so the bus almost had hurt him, at least it looked so for me. So we decided to go to the beginning. After looking around we finally found it. There were two queues, because there were two different routes for the bus. It looked like we could get in, but after the top was filled, it closed it doors, probably so people at next stops could get in, but it didn't seem right after waiting so long. Then a new bus came, but it didn't stop at the right queue, luckily we managed to get in there. All in all we were waiting a long time. But the two routes were lovely, one of them went to Fiesole, a little village nearby, where they had some Roman remains, which were really amazing to see. And the few up there was great.
In the end I had a great time, but was a little bit stressed because of some minor things. Because it was so busy, things were slow. We had booked some tickets for musea in advance, but we still had to wait in line, because of security and stuff. But leaving that out, it was a great trip.

On a different matter, I haven't updated in a while. I have to sort out my photo's from Florence, but I think there are some things there I will post. I also thought I had some other things I made not that long ago to post, but I forgot where I put those.

oh, btw: yay @ regina spektor! <3
