Happy holidays to everyone!! Although Christmas is not a holiday with which we give presents or go to church (my familiy is not religious), we do come together with the family. That sounds more than it is, just my parents, my sister, me and my aunts. But it is fun nontheless.

My subscription was over, but because of the "give one, get one free" action, I decided to buy one with a friend who is also here on dA. But still many thanks to =Guere for the first one!!

My birthday was last week and I turned 22. OMG I just got used to being 21 and now I am 22 already. It was great fun to see my friends again, it has been a while since I last saw them, so it was fun to meet up again.

I didn't get anything done during my examweek, maybe it just helps if I write I won't upload. I am working on a photo-manip, but I don't have much inspiration, so that is going slow. I also have quite some material to make something physical, but I need to figure out what to do with it. There is also something that is half done, but I am stuck with that also. For my poetry class I have to either learn a poem by heart or write my own. If I chose the latter, I will probably post that here.

I'm feeling restless these few weeks. I want to do a lot of things and I have a lot of things to do, I find it difficult to do it. I want to be creative, but I don't have much inspiration. I also have quite some homework. Exams are coming soon, so that might give me some inspiration. I always say I don't make pieces than, but I always end up doing the opposite.
Journals and deviations are piling up again. I do love the new options though. I don't read all the journals by everyone, some people I just watch for their art, so I can easily remove their journals. Also some people write in their native language, no problems with that, but I can't read their language. So I cleared some things, but not nearly enough.
I do check in on dA a lot, but it is most of the time just for a few minutes.
Yesterday I went to the 'Boekenfestijn' in Amsterdam. It is a markt with lots of books with a lot of discount. I have never been before, but it was worth it. Not the newest books, but still quite a lot and with titles you don't see often in stores. So I got quite some books.
Sinterklaas is almost upon us. I still have to buy most of the gifts for everyone, but the worst part is making the rhymes. I find it really difficult to make nice ones. Most of the sentences used ar the cliches, but whatever.

This morning my grandmother died at the age of 83. She will be missed.


As the title states I will be absent for a while. My grandmother's health is deteriorating. She wasn't feeling well on sunday and monday, but yesterday it got really bad. She is a very strong and willfull woman, but even then, her prognoses is bleak.
I hope that everyone else is doing alright.

How is everyone? I'm alright. My first exams are coming, which means I get a lot of inspiration I have two big ideas and started the first manip. The new program helps a lot, but some actions look easier than they are, so it takes a while before it is ready.
I also have some traditional things I need to finish, but I am stuck with those.

Not much is going on. Tonight I am going to see The Ugly Truth. Has anyone seen that? How did you feel about it?

I need some new music to listen to, does anyone have some recommendations?


Just a small edit, because I think an entire new joural entry for what will follow is a bit much.
I moved some of my deviations to scraps. I might move some more there, but I am not sure yet. While looking back, some time ago, I realised I didn't like everything in my gallery. But to remove them completely, would be a bit drastic (at least in my mind). So they went to scraps. I also changed the folders inside my gallery.

Hello everyone!!

Still busy with catching up. All the deviations done, but I still have the journals to read, however I don't know if I will read them all.


In the summer I went to Bruxelles and Vienna. Both cities were really nice and I have taken quite a lot of photo's. However I still have to sort them and edit them. This means it will take a while to get something on dA. I was also busy with a mixed media piece. However I am not that pleased with the base, so I still have to sort that out.
Seeing all the beautifull photo-manips make me want to make some of those also. But I still have to find a good programme or start working with Gimpshop (allthough I think I almost broke it the last time I tried something ).


I started a fourth year at uni, since I didn't wrote my bacheloressay (no idea if that is the right translation). This period I am following a course about Hindoeism and a course about the three emperor year (a chaotic time for Rome).
